Address Validator
For Shopify checkout

Every order ships to an address that actually exists.

Address Validator checks the shipping address right inside Shopify checkout, suggests a corrected version and applies your delivery rules — so bad addresses never reach your warehouse.

Install from the Shopify App Store See how it works Free for your first 50 checkouts. No monthly fee — pay only for what you use.

Two features. Zero extra fields.

Both work inside Shopify's native checkout — nothing to add to your theme, no custom inputs, no redirects.

Real-time validation

Every shipping address is checked against postal data as the buyer completes checkout. Typos, missing units and non-deliverable addresses get flagged with a clear banner and a one-tap fix.

Address autocomplete

Suggestions appear in Shopify's own address field as the buyer types. Fewer keystrokes, fewer mistakes — and the address arrives already normalized.

Delivery rules

Block or warn on PO boxes, military addresses (APO/FPO/DPO), whole countries or specific states and provinces. Rules run on our side and are part of the same single charge per checkout — never billed on top.

Works worldwide

US addresses use the USPS-certified database; everything else goes through international postal data covering 240+ countries and territories.

Your words, your languages

Every banner text is editable and translatable from the admin, so the message matches your brand and your buyers' language.

Order history

See what each buyer typed, what we suggested and what they chose — per order, right in your Shopify admin.

How it works

Installed in minutes. Nothing changes for buyers who already type a correct address.

Buyer enters an address

Autocomplete offers matching addresses while they type. Picking one fills the native Shopify fields.

We verify it instantly

The address is checked against postal data and your delivery rules. A correct address passes silently.

Buyer fixes it in one tap

If something's off, a banner explains what and offers the corrected version. You decide whether to warn or block checkout.

Simple usage-based pricing

No subscription, no tiers. You are billed through Shopify only for addresses we actually processed.

Questions

Anything else — write to support@address-validator.app.

Will it block buyers from checking out?

Only if you want it to. For each case — a suggested correction or an address we couldn't verify — you choose whether to show a warning or block the step. If our service is ever unavailable, checkout continues as normal; we never fail closed.

Do I need to edit my theme or checkout?

No. The validation banner appears automatically under the delivery address form. For autocomplete, select Address Validator as the autocomplete provider in your checkout settings — one click.

Which countries are supported?

All countries covered by our postal data provider — the US with USPS-certified data, and 240+ other countries and territories through international address data. Addresses in unsupported countries pass through without a charge — unless one of your delivery rules matches them, which counts as that checkout’s check.

What happens to my customers' data?

Addresses are sent to our postal data provider for verification and kept so you can see them in your order history. Buyer addresses never appear in our logs, and no data is sold or shared with anyone else. Shopify's customer data-request webhooks are supported.

How am I billed?

Through your regular Shopify invoice, using Shopify's usage-based billing. You'll see every charge itemised, and you can set a spending cap when you approve the app.
